What this task is
Architects or visualization artists turn design models into interior and exterior renderings and animations for client presentations and marketing, work that used to take long modeling and render times.
How AI replaces it
Real-time render engines spread from 2021, then text-to-image and image-to-image AI began producing images straight from sketches or massing models. By 2026, routine renderings are largely generated by AI tools.
What stays human
Architects make sure images faithfully reflect the real design rather than overselling it, steer style, materials and detail, and decide which views and content to put in front of clients during presentations.
