How AI replaces it
These tasks involve safe physical contact and endlessly varied situations; today only specialized lifts and bathing machines help. Care robots and humanoid robots are expected to start appearing from 2032, taking on most of this only around 2042.
What stays human
Care workers will work alongside robots, overseeing safety, providing individualized care and emotional connection, with much less heavy lifting and physical strain in their daily work.
