AI avatar hosts
What this task is
Sellers want their livestream rooms on air around the clock to reach viewers at night and in off-peak hours, which used to require several shifts of hosts.
How AI replaces it
From 2023, AI avatar hosts could present products from scripts for hours and answer some questions live, at far lower cost than human shifts. By about 2028, avatars will cover most always-on streaming hours.
What stays human
Human hosts concentrate on peak hours and major sales events, while operators maintain the avatars' scripts and product information and make sure the streams follow platform rules.
