On-site inspection
Insurance Claims Adjuster · Auto / Health Claims
“On-site inspection” (Insurance Claims Adjuster) is projected to see AI enter in 2028 and be largely replaced by 2036.
What this task is
Field adjusters travel to accident or disaster sites to photograph evidence, measure losses, interview the people involved and reconstruct what happened, supporting later damage and liability decisions.
How AI replaces it
Sites are varied and unpredictable, so someone still usually has to be there. From about 2028, drone surveys and remote video inspection are expected to replace most site visits, especially for catastrophe and crop claims, with most inspections done remotely by 2036.
What stays human
Adjusters will still attend major accidents, injury cases and disputed scenes in person, while also flying drones, guiding customers through remote video calls, and handling on-site communication with the people involved.
