What this task is
Cooks stir-fry dishes in a wok following standard recipes, controlling ingredient order, heat and timing so that every portion in every outlet tastes the same.
How AI replaces it
Wok-cooking robots add ingredients, control heat and toss food according to programs, reproducing standard flavors reliably; canteens and chains began using them from 2019. As reliability and dish coverage improve, most standardized stir-frying is expected to be done by machines around 2029.
What stays human
Cooks write and tune recipe programs, taste-check output, and personally cook dishes the machines still cannot do well, such as those needing intense wok heat.
